The story behind the whole saying "race me" started at the local meets in Stamford, CT. One night she started staying "race me" to almost every car that passed by. Ever since then that has been Elenie's trademark. Rewinding back to when she was a little girl in elementary school, there was a sheet that she had drawn on. The sheet said, "What I Think I Will See In The Future?" her response was "This is a car that goes fast". In her picture book that she made later in elementary school called, "The best day ever" she drew herself on roller blades and in a speech bubble above her head it says "want to race".
It's crazy how in life you find pieces that connect your past to your present.

Here is a note I made in my phone after the #raceme meet we held for Elenie.

It's nights like tonight that make me feel grateful for everything I have. But above everything, family and friendship that will last a lifetime. Which ever path we take in life they will back you up every step of the way. They will get you through the hardest times. They will support you no matter what. It's hard to come by a friendship like that and I'm very fortunate to have more than a handful of people like that in my life. We all share so many similarities that being.. cars, bikes, photography, working out, etc... But we are all unique individuals. We all have something to bring to the table that keeps our friendship alive. I'm always going to say this till the day I die...
